Subject: Gas in your state
IP: Logged

Message:
As I last checked on CNBC. The price for a barrel of oil was around 94 dollars. So I'm still paying between $3.65-$3.55 depending on what city I at.

So what gives!! Yes I know about the hurrican that hit the gulf coast but something else has to be in the play.

So what price are you paying at the pump?

Next time you see the price for a barrel of oil on CNBC, don't stop at the dollar amount;look for the month as well. It's right there in parentheses, and right now, you'll see the price is for (NOV). That lower cost oil isn't here yet.

The whacked crooks are going to make the U.S.A.'s economy collapse from all this, so that is why you probably won't see the price go back down to normal. The infrastructure of the United States is collapsing after just a couple of years of the oil price crime.

I wish I was paying $3.65!

Here in the Atlanta area, not all stations have gas yet. It's supposed to be all back to normal by Columbus Day (oct 13th). It's getting better, I was able to find 4 stations with gas today! only 1 had anything but 87. I paid $4.29 for 89 for my avenger R/T. It's around $4.09 for 87.

Atlanta area (charlotte nc, nashville tn, nc mountain towns) all get their fuel from gulf coast. as of Wednesday 31 of 33 refineries were back online after hurricane Ike. Of those 31, 13 were in re-start mode or producing at levels below pre-Ike conditions.

According to news reports today, 1 pipeline from the gulf coast was at 100% capacity and another was 80-85% capacity. It will take days for that fuel to reach the Atlanta distribution center.

There are many stations here who still have no gas. Up to wednesday the stations that had gas had long lines. Some stations only had a few pumps, some stations were limiting fuel sales to 10 gallons per customer. Some stations have employees out directing traffic. Some stations had to call the police because people were getting into altercations. Some idiots were even calling 911 asking which gas stations had gas! I woke up at 5am last sunday morning to find gas. I drove by 7 or 8 stations before I found one that did have some gas - and waited for 10 minutes before I was able to fill up my car - the tanker was offloading as I filled up.

i think a big reason we see so much difference in price from one station to the next is how much they make on the fuel , some stations make as little as 5 cents a gallon on the fuel they sell while others make .50 cents or more.
if i drive into the city there is a wide variance in pump prices even in stations that are across the street from one another so its not hard to see who is making the most of a bad situation :o(

Squeeker, you forget that not every station pays the same price for their gas anymore than you do. In reality a station charging the higher price may be making less of a profit. Even the wholesale cost of the gas doesn't tell the whole story about retail prices that you pay. Different stations also have different overhead.

It's a bit like going to two different steak houses and having to pay vastly different prices for what appears and tastes the same. However, that fancy steak house may be losing its azz even though it charges much more.

We've got gas! Well, sort of. It's easier to find 87 than 89 or 93. Every station I passed tonight had 87 but only 2 had 93! First time in a few weeks that I've seen every station with some grade of gas.

And it's down to $3.89/gallon for 87.

"I wish I was paying $3.65!"

You wish the economy gets destroyed?

You should be wishing you were paying $1.20 per gallon for regular, the price it REALLY is, as proven by American pay scales being the same as they were when gas was $1.20 per gallon.

You could say you wish gas was $3.65 a gallon BUT pay scales also triple what they were as well.

And they wonder why the United States is being destroyed economicaly. The karma and consequenses of corporate greed is catching up.
As long as Americans give in to it instead of fighting it and shutting down the destroyers, their crying won't be heard when it all comes down. Not heeding these warnings is the worst thing any American can do. Demanding correction AND reimbursement of the stolen oil money back to the people is the only hope of saving the U.S. economy. Allowing the oil crooks to have their way and destroy the economy has consequenses you don't even want to think about. You live in a country where THE CHOICE IS YOURS. Why not fight to defend your country from those attacking it (oil robbing corporations tied to government fraud). Remember, the government is supposed to be separate from business. It is only supposed to oversee, not do business with corporations. America is in a very dangerous situation that the people have no idea how dangerous it is, and how much danger they are personaly in. The recent events on Wall street was just a peep showing through of the termites below. It will all cave in very badly if the people don't band together and stop the crooks.

Those of you on the eastern seaboard facing shortages need to put the blame on the EPA". As you know-certain areas get certain low emmisions fuel. The refinnery making fuel for that area was damaged. The EPA would not let fuel from other areas be used in your cleanair district. They don,t care about shortages- just your air.. Next time you see a tree hugger, thank him for your shortage and price! If obama wins-no one will have fuel. Oh yes-$2.89 here.
