I posted this because of all of the BS people put on your post
ratchet,
I had the same problem with my KYB shocks not having those bushings either. They also have a metal sleeve, the bushings are actually between the sleeve and the shock itself. So what you have to do is tighten the hell out of the bracket bolt so it pinches the metal sleeve in the bracket. When you do this the sleeve wont move, thus stopping that annoying noise. So get back under there and tighten it "until your balls hurt".
