I've read posts about some people hauling some heavy loads. This is certainly not the heaviest, but significant.
Yesterday, I hauled 45 boxes (48in x 6in x 4in) of laminated wood, for our flooring project. I weighed a box, 30 pounds.
1,350 pounds. My '01 QC sat level, handled fine, and my original brakes stopped it easily.
What an awesome trucks these daks are!

thats nothing. ive hauled 2000lbs of stone in the back of my 93. it wasnt even squatting all the way down, but most of it. My 93 is rated at 1450lbs payload so, neither of your loads are worth even talking about.

In my 97 V6 I filled the bed from front to back and to the top edge with landscape stones, even with my helper springs installed it was dragging the mudflaps on the ground.
In my 93 V6 I towed a ford f250 on a full car trailer from south of Peoria back to the chicago suburbs. That was a little scary, when I would hit big bumps the front wheels were coming off the ground. Wouldn't do that again if I had a choice, but how else would I get a ford home ;)

I was picking up the truck for a friend of mine when I was in trade school. He had this master plan of taking the engine out and building it up for some other car he had. I don't think he got any further than pulling the engine.

At least 7500 on a heavy fifth wheel trailer today. That's what the trailer is rated at; had a full skid of asphalt shingles on it. Had to bias the load toward the truck - it was heavy for the trailer's tires and suspension.

When I was helping a friend move, we put a bunch of heavy stuff in the back, including a weight set and lots of lumber, but certainly no more than 1000 lbs. But then, all 6 of us climbed into the little club cab to drive across town, it was funny!
Truck sat pretty low then, at least with 5 in the cab and me outside laughing. There was enough torque to get up the hills, but the brakes were totally inadequate going down them. Plummeted partway into a (thankfully empty) intersection going down a hill, couldn't even lock the wheels.
I've since upgraded the front brakes, and regularly adjust the rears. Seems to be a lot better. But my stock brakes were scary.
