 Subject: Caliper grinding on rims 97 dakota

Well I have been hearing a griding sound coming from my front two tires and when I popped the wheels off the pads are fine but, there is a inch wide spot across the entire lip of the calipers and there are corresponding marks on the inside of my rim. Obviously they are rubbing and the caliper is not loose. I check both for movement by prying on it and trying to move it as well as tighten down the bolt. I did change the breaks about 6 months ago but, the problem started only in the last month or two and on both wheels. Does anyone have any ideas.
