Subject: o2 sensor, different harness??
IP: Logged

Message:
I have a 98 slt and my rear o2 sensor harness is female...and so is every single rear o2 sensor ive seen. possible to have a different harness for some reason?

anybody think it's possible to put long pins inside of the connectors so they attach? I don't remember if the connector shape is match for the o2 sensor I bought, I'll have to check that when the ground is a little drier.

Any suggestions? any help appreciated, thanks in advance.

I had a smiliar problem with my O2 sensors when I put them in. Seems like the connectors were different from one side to the next. So I just cut off the connector from the new one and put the old connector in its place. It was quite easy and I have had no check engine lights since. And that was about 2 years ago.

thanks, and I've tried that by buyin a universal connector and that ended up being junk. If I can find another male connector that fits it I'll cut and paste it to the new ngk o2 I got.

anybody else got suggestions?
