For me the killer is the cheap plastic feel of dash and knobs. I just can't justify paying the same amount of money for a midsize truck that I pay for a full size when the interior feels so damn cheap.

im still not sure how i feel on coil springs in the rear on the new rams......
how long do you think before they go IRS and ditch the solid axle in the rear as well
make it cost 6k for a 3" lift.....

well they already got plans to go irs on the new rams. and the reasoning is that with toyota, ford and chevy all want there light duty trucks to act like a full size (towing and pulling).
i guess dodge is taking a different approach that the light duty trucks are more for everyday use. (makes sense to me, sinse the majority of people that buy light duty dont relty tow) so why not leave the heavy duty work for the bigger trucks?

they will leave the pulling to the 2500 and up. they will keep solid axle and leaf spring
i live in chicago and i never see the 1500s (of any make) pull much. what i mean by that is anybody that pulls a load of anything usually gets more heavy duty.
if im a construction worker and i constantly tow... im getting a 2500 or up. but hey thats just me.

oh and the new ram will still tow 7000 lbs range give or take. still respectable for irs.

as for the interior on the daks. didnt rely bother me, or noticed the plastic. but i do agree they are very much overpriced.
