Subject: turn signals quite working

I have a 99 2wheel drive regular cab with a 3.9 lately I when i turn on the turn signals the will blink for a little bit and then they will just stayon solid and if I turn it off and then back on it will work again any ideas on what this is? thanks

Hmm, my 1999 Dakota had the same problem recently. It turned out to be the turn signal flasher. I got one at Autozone for like eight dollars and it fixed the problem.

as ewraven said, it's most likely the flasher. it's a big relay in the fuse panel inside the truck.

most are silver or gray but some are black. some round and some square.

i don't recall them being that expensive though.
