Not only that but can you believe there was some guy who claimed to be getting 21MPG on the HWY with a 360 Dakota???

I believe the correct question is "hows your dollars per gallon?"
Gas prices are triple that of 1998, therefore your gas milage is one third what it was in 1998, without your vehicle running any worse than in 1998.

Don't be an idiot in your analysis.
Adjusted for inflation gasoline is the basically the same price it was in 1980. The inflation adjusted price in 1980 was $3.06 (in 2007 dollars). The current daily average price is $3.02

Has your payrate tripled since then?
If not, then you ARE getting less miles per dollar than then.

In China we aren't terrorists that attack our fellow citizens with cars on the highways!
In northeast USA literaly thousands of psychoes attack eachother, severely ignore speed laws, suicide missions into red lights as an everyday thing with an actual violent terrorist attack on another citizen that did nothing wrong to be attacked for, like yesterday Connecticut had yet another terrorist attack by a female terrorist in a red car with Massachusetts plates leaving behind their razor shard debris from their attack on USA using the car with Massachusetts plates.
That makes 3 terrorist attacks against the USA by 4 different terrorists in the same month January, averaging 1 terrorist attack per week in January of this year so far.
WHERE THE FüCK IS THE GOVERNMENT IN ALL THIS?
Cars with New York plates seen completely disregarding speed laws, so New Yorkers have some nerve crying about the hijackers of 9-11-2001 wrecklessly flying vehicles into their skyscrapers, when they were just doing exactly what New Yorkers themselves do with vehicles!

As long as this CRIME ANRCHY AND TERRORISM (CAT) goes on like this uncontrolled, then there will be,
DEATH TO AMERICA!
and Americans will have done it by themselves, attacking eachother with cars literally thousands of times per day!
The motorvehicle crime anarchy and terrorism is the #1 threat to USA (statistical fact- it is the #1 deliberate acts of harm to USA citizens as opposed to harm that was by accident),
(lie advertizing #2 threat to USA).
as long as Americans keep burring themselves, they will have no one to blame when the walls come crashing down on them from their own evil and no one elses causing it, as every act of crime, anarchy, terrorism on the roads and lying, cheating and stealing in lie advertizing is US citizens kicking out the supports holding USA up, with each offense.
Americans are only destroying their own lives with their anger and hatred toward their fellow citizens, their country and themselves everytime they spit on US public safety laws, and outright attack their fellow citizens!
Don't try to blame it on other countries when USA gets destroyed very soon !
Americans are doing it to themselves as just explained!

Anyways, I average 16.5 mpg - 2003 4.7 QC 4WD AUTO.
As far as the economics go, it is interesting to consider. But there are soooo many variables to think about. Inflation, COLA, pay increases, value of dollar, etc. In any case, someday soon there will be no more oil and that will be a wonderful day.

but, that was not all hwy driving, some city
pure highway it will run up above 20

One thing we all need to keep in mind is that gas mileage is only one variable in the actual Cost Per Mile analysys of operating a motor vehicle. The price of the vehicle, finance charges, taxes and license fees, insurance, and repairs and maintenance are other key factors. In a direct comparison, driving a new Prius vs. a 5 year old Dakota can be a very expensive proposition. Depending on the number of miles you drive a year, your results may vary!

Not to but in, but as an impartial observer I have to agree with Wong.
What he is talking about is the anarchy on the roads in the Connecticut and Massachusetts area.
It really is getting bad here, and what he said is not an aggaduration.
If you don't believe it, visit the Connecticut and Massachusetts area and see how bad the lawlessness on the roads is.

Good point about the Prius, Lee. I always laugh at people who spend $6k on a "economy car" so the dak can sit. When insurance, that car's gas, and other stuff are factored in, think about how much gas you could have bought! heck, I could have my dak just sitting in the driveway for a year idling 24/7 and not spend $10k in gas. Well, ok that may be a stretch, but you get the point.

Anarchy is no government by definition.
It is not the crime he is talking about, it is the lack of government stopping the crime.

OK, vote for the guys that will get the United States and it's twin towers blown to hell and repress our citizens,

The government is meshed with the stock market which is unconstitutional, and when the NYSE was shut down for a few days after 9-11, they got in there and tampered with records, and then low and behold some corporations got exposed for investment fraud. They are corporations that didn't want a part in the corruption and evil, so they had to be eliminated, WTC and all!
