What all is required to swap to a 318 or 360 internally balanced engine. i want to keep the 5 spd. Just wondering if it will fit, and if not, what 5 spd could i use. i am not looking to spend a small fortune on all this stuff. i might even just keep a 6 for the hell of gas mileage b/c the v8 will be built if i go that route. Also, how much power can the rear end, clutch, transmission, etc take before they rapidly die. Any help is appreciated.

Supplying things like year and current drive train details (engine, tranny, axles, etc.) might help us to help you.

What's your left foot doing?
