I am currently waiting for my new 2002 Dakota and I was just wondering how long it usually takes. I was told 6 weeks and it's been two -- damn waiting sucks.

I know how you feel! I ordered my new 2002 Sept. 14th. They told me 4-6 weeks, but the guy said the Dakotas were coming sooner, so... hopefully it will arrive within 4 weeks. I'm going crazy!! The days seem like months.

I got mine in 4 weeks and trust me I know the waiting is hell :) BUT well worth it when you get your factory ordered truck I framed my window sticker,its very cool when you get that build sheet with all your options and it says this truck was built especially for you :),enjoy guys

Call the Chrysler 800# and they can tell you where in the production it is, or if its been shipped where in the US it is. I called them twice a week when I ordered mine. Don't know the number, sorry!

Really! That is cool, I wish they could get like webcams set up at each stage to see the process, wouldn't cost much.

They were pricks when I called. I called several times and they wouldn't tell me anything. They do send a weekly report to your dealership. Its not very accurate though. When mine arrived to the lot the report showed that it was waiting to board the 1st train.

i ordered mine last october and it took 3 weeks, the dealer had said 6-8 but then called me and said they were really rollin off the assembly line, i was happy
