You have to crank it down and then work it out of the loop it sits in. I think I pushed it to left side of the truck and banged the left seat support and some knuckles in the process last time I had it out. Its a pain in the ... Since you have no other replies, it looks like most QC Dak owners use their AAA card instead. ;)

When looking at the jack under the seat, find the long screw that goes through the center of the jack. At the end of the screw there's a knob that looks sort of like a nut washer, turn it with your fingers so the jack lowers enough to pull the jack out of it's holder. When installing jack back in, lower it enogh to get it back in the holder. When it's in the holder raise the jack again to keep it snug in the holder.

You know, that strap that holds the jack down has a wire loop that hooks on at the bottom. loosen the jack, remove the strap over it, pull it and the bag with the handles and lug wrench out.

to put it back, collapse it, put the handles and wrench bag back, put the ring on the strap back over the whole bundle, then turn the jack until it fits snugly, so it won't rattle around.

NOt too hard to do. and I do have a AAA card, for my wife and kids.
