Subject: 2006 Shiver & Thunk

I'm getting a terrible thunk when going over every larger bump in my 2006 Dak. It's a 4x4 4.7L with the 6 sp (which I love). It also seems that every ripple in the road sends a disconcerting shiver throughout the truck, has anyone else noticed this or am I the only one. The truck has only 5100 miles on it but it seems as though the ride has deteriorated quite drastically from when the truck was new. I know it's under warranty and I will be going to the dealer for a remedy but I'm sure all of you know what's that is like so I was hoping for some input here from anyone who has experienced a like issue. Also, I tried to find some upgraded shocks for the truck and no one is selling them, what gives?

Glad to see my 06 is not the only one rides like crap! You think it was a 1 ton the way it rides. Front rides like has no shocks and rear like it has ton springs. Yep cap shivers over hard bumps. Have a loud noise coming from the rt. doors over hard bumps. Have 38000 on it. I'm afraid of how many rattles it have by 100000. My 01 was by far a better truck at 122,000. Should have kept it. And have had 3 ring & pinons and rear still howls.

I have an '05 and have the same problem. When I am towing the trailer, it rides smoother than a truck oughta. I wonder if the rear-end is too light? I've seen a large bag that you can set in the bed and fill with water when running "empty" (i.e. not towing). I wonder if it works...seems like a lot of work, though.
