 Subject: check e light

my check engine light on my 93 Dakota comes on just briefly as i start my truck then goes off. i have never noticed it before. you guys have any suggestions??

When you turn the key to run, the light comes on as a check to let you know it's working.
When the engine starts, it's supposed to go out to let you know everything's all right.
As GB2000 said, it's normal.
