98 2X2 long bed.
Recently developed a hellish squeak from the left front.
We put hose on each end of the spring. Still noisy. Shot WD40 on everything. Still noisy.
What causes big time squeaking from the front?

Most likely your stabilizer bar ends. DO NOT try to lube with regular grease or anything that states it contains patrolium distillates. It will rot the bushings in short order. To do the job correct you need to disconnect the ends and remove the rubbers. You'll find they have rust in them even though if in proper shape there a tight fit. Synthetic grease works ok after cleaning them up. Best is urethane bushing replacements. If your lucky you can try driving a few miles on a dusty road that's on the rough side and also working your steering back and forth in a safe manner to work the stabilizer bar to near max. This will take care of it a lot of times . Just know, it will come back the first time you do a lot of water driving . Say a few hours on wet rainy roads, crossing creeks or what ever. under car washing usually doesn't do it as your not moving to work the water into the bushings. Regardless, to lube is by far the longest solution

Thanks OBIO3.
Today we worked on the problem together. We bumped heads looking up at the spring and at suspension parts while the truck was on the rack.
We lowered it to ground level and I bounced as my mechanic listened with his real mechanics stethoscope. We drenched every moving part, and some non moving pieces too, with WD40. Finally, with a "why not" he greased the ball joint. For some reason a ball joint that is greased every 5,000 miles wasn't getting lubricated. Squeak is gone. For now.
Maybe unloading and reloading the ball joint did something.

Fisher.
Maybe you are right. The Amsoil Series 3000 Racing Grease didn't seem to be working.
