Subject: Window regulator being a pain
IP: Logged

Message:
ok, i have 98 dakota with power windows. The passenger side window keeps on coming out of the track due to these two plasic wheels breaking off, which held the window glass in the track. The dealership told me that in order to get those wheels i need to but a whole new glass assembly. Another source told me that the part i need is part of the regulator an i need to buy a new regulator to get it. It looks like the window slides out of the frame that contains the two brocken slider wheels so that leads me to believe that i need a new regulator to get that part. I dont want to buy a part that i dont need so if anyone can help me out on this subject i would much appreciate there help
Thanks
Please somone help me

What i did was went to napa and u can buy just the wheels there. Then went home and drilled out the rivet that held the small wheel and shaft on and installed the new one worked great for 3 years then car got wrote off
