 Subject: '00 Dakota quad cab

Hello all. I am looking at a '00 quad cab 2wd SLT. 129,000 miles. Asking price is just under 6400.00 Interior looks immaculate. Body is very clean. It was a one owner - lady - who drove it back and forth to work, around 80 mile round trip. All hwy miles. Any tips as to what to look out for? Any problems w/ these vehicles? Thanks in advance.

Other than the usual items that apply to any vehicle, (tires, brakes, fluids, regular maint) the only thing that is a known issue would be the upper ball joints.
These were warrantied by DCX to 100K miles, but since this truck is past that mark you need to find out if the owner took care of that. If not, you would need to foot the bill for the replacement.
It sounds like a great value and find. Check kbb.com, and Edmunds.com for what is a realistic price.

only thing to really worry about is ball joint problems and heater core failure other wise than that should be okay.
