Since the original "gas price survey" post seems to have died a "delete death" due to excess flaming, how about another timely attempt? Looks like lighter wallets in the immediate future. $2.49 for 87 octane/ East Tennessee 3/31/07. California had $4.00/gal. on the Today Show.

$2.69 reg. unleaded -- Piqua, OH and Troy, OH

You all remember when the gas prices were just beginning to approach $2.00/gal in many areas a month or two ago? Did you all hear that the oil companies called an "Emergency Meeting" to help stabilize the oil prices again (ie. put them back up near where they were). Dead serious.

I also just read an article the other day on MSN.com where analysts were saying that those who were projecting $3.00/gal by summer are wrong and we won't be anywhere near that by summer. Hrrmmm...$2.69 is only 31 cents away...if someone else coughs we're gonna top that.

You'd think, but you notice that gas prices are higher in the city,
yet are cheaper in the rural places? You'd think it would a load
cheaper to fill up the stations all within a city than one way out
in the middle of nowhere...

The oil companies have us by the balls man... it's all set up so
they always win, my dad was in this business for 10 years before
he left 2 years ago, there is some interesting crap they do...

BTW you think the gas stations are making money of this, they
arent. My dad was making 1.5-2 cents per gallon profit off
gas... that is as in margin, so those 2 cents per gallon went to
the maintenance and other monthly bills. Its stupid.

VERY hard to have a gas price survey when the gas
gluts (better known as slugs in my area) change
prices everytime one of em fart!

Too bad our goverment can't put control on this.
Oh wait a second, most of our goverment slugs are
owners of big oil anyway! Guess we must see our
country go into even deeper resession.. Might as
well call it depression.

Park the Dakota's guys... Get out the bikes.
Peddle type that is...
