Subject: Starting & Lights Issue Interconnected??
IP: Logged

Message:
This problem is on a 1991 Dodge Dakota, and I think they might be connected. This happens all the time.

When I try to start the truck I hear a click when I turn the key. Then I turn on the lights for a second, turn the key and the truck fires right up?

I also have an issue with the lights dimming at odd times, and the high/low setting on the left headlight is opposite of the right headlight. It seems like a short, and I'm wondering where would be a good place to start?

Thanks

Check the wiring harness under the 'underhood
fuse/relay' box , unwrap the "tape" about 6
to 10 inches = find a splice of 3 or 4 wires.
Redo this splice using a good quality [ joiner ]
or better = solder it and then tape it up..
