I need to replace the rusted out muffler on my 98 Dakota, which is a 5.2 liter extended cab 2WD. I would like something which is only slightly louder than stock. I like the sound of the new 4.7 liter HO engine in the newer Dakotas. Does anyone know if the factory muffler used on the 4.7 liter HO dakotas will fit on my 98? If so, will my 98 sound similar to the 4.7 liter HO?
Are there other options with aftermarket mufflers?

I got a Flo-Pro on my 98 Dak 5.2 and love the sound. It's not annoyingly loud or expensive. $60 I think. And when you crank it it sounds awesome!
My system consists of head pipe enlarged to 2" from the 1-3/4", into 3" single pipe from the 2-1/2" with a CarSound cat and the 3" Flo-Pro and 3" tail to the back bumper.
