 Subject: side mirror replacement Question

my passenger side mirror cracked this winter, does just the glass pop out, anyone done this? i donlt want to buy a whoe mirror, if so i think i'd go custom and get both... anyone have this problem?

A friend broke the mirror on his explorer, and had to go to a glass company. And give them a mirror to custom cut for him.
