With over 230,000 miles on the OD.

Now the only problem (besides the BJ's) is there seems to be a leak somewere in the intake. When accelerating down the road it will backfire and really pitch a fit.

Any one had this problem before?

Knowing which engine you have might be helpful.

IF this was your first flush, that could very well be a tranny rather than an engine problem. Full flushes and extremely high mileage in the absence of previous maintenance have been known to cause more problems than they solve.

Nope,

Of course I got they truck at just over 140Kmiles, Had know idea that would put this many mile on the truck, I flushed it at 175K. But before I bought the truck, I didn't seem like it's been flushed before.

I do know for a fact the previous owner pulled a boat (size and weight who knows for sure) but this truck as been worked had for sure.

The engine I have is a 318 MPFI Magnum motor. 220 HP and about 300ftlbs toruqe

I have heard these rumors too. If you flush a high mileage transmission, you can knock loose material that can plug passages. Not to say this will happen to you, but at work, we flushed a chevy 2500 with 135k on it, and 2k later, the trans was shot.

The recomended procedure for high mileage that has not been previously flushed is to just drain and refill like normal.

I am glad it works for you. Hopefully, the drivetrain will outlast the body of the truck.

Well if it’s the engine itself that’s popping, it doesn’t sound like a drive train issue. More like a power train to me.

My 96 that I had needed a tune up and the injectors flushed. So you might want to check in to that.
