I'm looking to replace the stock shocks on my 02 QC 4x4 with 265/75/16s 4.7L. I also have a toolbox in the bed (~150lbs) and a fiberglass shell.

Are the monroe reflex shocks still the preferred choice? Any other's I should consider? I do mostly paved driving but some gravel/dirt/mud/holes as well for fishing/camping trips.

My $.02 isn't that deep. You can't go wrong with the Reflex shocks. Some of the other premium choices (KYB, Rancho, etc.) might be a much better shock, but for the price of about $50 a corner the Reflex is a great value. They ride way better than OEM and are warranteed for life.

I ride all paved roads, with the only dirt being the occasions I tow my toyhauler to the desert for some off-road fun.

What's your left foot doing?
