Subject: hot jet coated manifolds?
IP: Logged

Message:
Hello, i have a 2003 with the 4.7. I have a new pair of manifolds that i want to swap for my leaking originals. I'm just wondering if it is possible to ceramic coat or hot jet coat stock manifolds

Thanks

You can ceramic coat anything that can withstand the process. So the answer is, yes, you can.

But, do you want to? No question, they do look better. But I doubt you'll see any real performance increase.

I'm not doing it for any performance gains. I just want to replace the old ones that are leaking and have broken bolts. Hoping for slightly cooler truck temps in the summer as well.
