 Subject: 93 with a 360

I have a good running 360 with 727 transmission and transfer case, the 5.2 in my 93 dakota blew up, how hard would it be to put the 5.9 in?

yea, it seriously depends on what year the engine is. if its a magnum 360, then its easy. even easier if its from a 93 ram. you wont have to replace any of the wireing if its from the same year ram, just the computer, and i think the fuel injectors. but if its a LA 360, forget it. there is no way, shape, or form that makes that pos engine worth it. it would have less power, and suck more gas.

you shoul;d have figured that with it mated to a 727 it was an old one
shouldnt be too much of a problem, maybe the mounts might be tricky
but a 79 would be easy, no computer to worry about, jsut have to figure out how to hook up the guages

Not necessarily, since they share a common bolt pattern for bellhousings. Could've been a replacement block or whatever. My goal was to find out what the 360 had for induction. Anyway, were you planning on going with the stock 360 intake/carb, etc?
