I need a pulley or bearing for my A/C commpressor. It's a 1997 3.9L V6 and it screeches like a banshee. Anyone know of any websites that sell the pulley or bearing?

I would remove it and replace the bearing
yourself. It's really not that hard.

I've done a few myself over the years on older
cars and trucks.

Good luck..

I'm not afraid of replacing the bearing, but I don't know where I can find the proper replacement part.

In my area there is a company with the name of
Bearings Inc. Once the bearing is removed from
its housing, it can be matched up. Most will even
have a name and number on the bearing.

This is what I found so far: I removed the pressure plate from the front of the compressor pulley, and removed the snap ring at the pulley hub. With a flashlight I read the part number for the bearing: Koyo DAC3555RD3H. This is a 35x55x20 bearing. After searching on the internet, I found a place called bearingsdirect.com that has the equivalent bearing, cross-referenced to another manufacturer's part number. Autozone.com and O'Reilly's websites say they have a bearing for my model's clutch pulley, but I'm less sure their's is the correct one. I don't know if a '95 takes the same bearing. If your compressor is a Sanden U4692 or SD7H15, then it should be the same.

What I'm wondering now is what kind of tool (Puller?) does it take to remove the compressor pulley?

I'm glad you guys discussed this here. I needed part# 35bd219duk for a 2000 nissan xterra ac pulley. It also happened to be a 35x55x20. Went to bearings direct and looked up the one you provided, looks like it'll work. I also did a search on their site for "35 55 20" and that bearing popped up that way as well. I'm pretty excited, cause I've been looking everywhere. You can't even get a bare clutch for this rig, it's compressor only, over $600! $26.99 is much better. I have found suitable bearings elsewhere, from china, for $70 + S&H, and I was leery of ordering from them. Didn't seem real legit.

There is a site www.acbearings.com that has the exact bearing you want for $33. It is an NSK/OEM bearing. I had to buy one for my Altima as they use the same compressor bearing.
