I'm in the habit of staying up late.
Acceleration gives a line of thought for diagnosis;
Torque twists the engine against the motor mounts, the exhaust moves over from the standing still position. All of this is slight, but does happen.
Winter is coming. What better time to lie under your truck, on the cold ground, and just contemplate. While you are down there, you might as well look around. Take your time. It takes us longer to notice things than real mechanics.
You might take a whack at the exhaust pipe. Sometimes that reveals something. If not, it is a good way to get blood flowing to your hand, and warm you up.
