So I noticed that someone has already tried to break into my new shell. One side is bent up a little and the underside of it is all scratched. It's obvious someone tried to pry it open.
The pathetic thing is that it's only ever been left unattended once for a long period of time with stuff in the back and that was during the day at a local mall and it was indeed locked. Otherwise it's kept UNLOCKED with NOTHING in the back but my locked bed mounted UWS diamond plate tool box.

I feel for you, Dan M. It's only going to get
worse. With the state this country is in with
more and more being layed off their jobs and
crack heads looking for ways to get a buck for
their next fix, it's best not to keep anything
of value in your ride, even hidden out of site.
I suppose you're lucky they didn't take the entire
truck or the shell!

Guess I'm lucky - only thing they seem to steal on a continual basis is my chrome valve caps from my wheels. First they steal the back ones. Then later on they finish the job by getting the fronts. Stopped buying them now. Guess I'll get some of the cheap black plastic caps and paint them silver.

That used to be a big thing with all the bikers in town when I was younger and still riding BMX...everyone loved "chromies" on their bikes but couldn't afford to buy them at the bike shop, so the ones with no respect for other people's property would go to the mall/grocery store/etc and steal em from all the cars they could find em on. They'd keep a handful and sell the rest off to other kids wanting some.
Me...I still remember the pair of gold dice I paid $4 for. And I went apesh!t on a punk bitch who got pissed at me and stole em while his friend's were distracting me...but I turned around and caught him. lol
