i have a 1989 dodge dakota and want to totally upgrade it, does anyone know who can tell me the biggest engine i can fit into it i also want to change it to a stick and make it 4 wheel drive is the a company i can go to for help in deciding what will work and what won't.

Frankly, for the price it would cost you to change it over to a stick AND a 4x4, you could buy a 1989 Dakota with all that already in it. On top of that you'd probably have the money to spare for a bigger engine. Since you can put a .318 in a Gen I Dak, I assume you can probably shove a .360 in there.

I agree plus a 440 if you have the equipment to do it. You'll be way ahead and be guarenteed the 4x4 system is built exactly right.
