I have an 03 5.9 R/T with 35,000 on it. I seem to be loseing .5 - 1 quart of oil evry oil change. I don't see any visible leaks or other signs of where it may be going. any ideas or is this normal oil loss on an R/T.

I would investigate the belly pan gasket. If defective, it will allow oil to be drawn into the intake manifold and thus burnt. Do a search on this subject and you will find volumes of info including step by step diagnostic and repair steps.

Does you truck smoke a bit even if regardless of outside temp?

Seem like there was a recall on the 360/318 engines about oil loss. I read in truck trend magazine.

But other than that its a good motor.
