Subject: Superchips + Electric Fan = Power???
IP: Logged

Message:
I have a 2003 V6 and was wondering if Superchips and an electric fan would really give me a noticeable amount of power? If so what kind of gains will I be looking at? What would be the best power gain for the same amount of money?

Here is a list of my mods so far: 10” Edelbrock Air Cleaner w/ 3” tall KNN filter, V8 TB, 180 degree, Taylor Made 8mm spark wires, Autolite 3923 plugs, Flowmaster Super 40 that dumps before rear axle, Custom hood, and scoop tray. Also what do you think is my HP w/ the list of mods here?

Here is a link of the fan I plan on buying:

Thanks in advance!!!

I can only speak for the e-fan. Yes, you'll feel a noticable change. 1.7 roller rockers are a slam dunk for the money.

Well I just looked at another post and it doesn’t look to difficult the only thing that grabbed my attention is when they said I had to clean the engine, remove all spark plug wires, remove more wires, and later on crank the engine over to tighten the bolts down. That sounds like a lot of work and it sounds like a lot could go wrong.
What kind of performance gains am I looking at here?

The question is; what is your purpose?

In normal driving your engines lives around 2,000 RPM. so you want to do things there. (Gibson headers did the most for me, but I want MPG)At those RPMs a Flowmaster is useless.

If you are dragging on the weekend, different story.
If you don't care how much money you spend, ditto.

Now I have no clue what I want to go with. lol.
Which one would I feel the most:
Superchips, 1.7 Rockers, or Gibson headers

I will be driving mostly highway and will start towing here pretty soon. I just need something to get me over the hills of Tennessee without down shifting

If I went with the headers how much might it cost me to get them installed and how long could it take?
