Yes, they are legal. In fact, some of the new Lexus models come with clear front lenses stock. I just so happen to have some on my truck from procarparts.com and they worked wonderfully.

They're 100% street legal. If you need any install help, check out the 'HOWTO' section on my website for Clear Corners - they're easy once you know what to do.

I have been pulled over many times for clear tail lights on my S-10 that I had. I never got a ticket for the clear corners though. So one time when I was getting a ticket, I asked him "Are clear corners legal?" He said NO. They are not legal. He said it is illegal to change the factory lighting and lens to different colors. So they are NOT LEGAL, but it is such a small minor thing, that you will probably never get a ticket for it. I have had clear corners on my Dakota now for a year and a half and never been pulled over.

in california you can have either amber or white turnsignals. but some people (like me) get the "hyper white" bulbs, and they put off a blueish light and thoes are illeagle. i got a ticket with thoes bulbs and switched to a plain white bulb WITH THE CLEAR LENS and got it signed off by the c.h.p.
