I recieved a letter from chrysler a few months back on extended warranty for my 97 SLT 4x4 about an extended warranty on my catilated converter(sorry if spelling is wrong) you have until end of year to take care of it. Can cause failed emissions testing and poor performance and a intense rattling noise. Here I thought that was just a heard of crickets in my tranny. I am the third owner of the truck so I hope the warranty still stands??? Hope this helps somebody, they also said they would reimburse you if you had it done already. If you want more info I can try and dig up the letter cause I got to have it done anyway.
