I have a set of strap ons . I looked a long time before I found these. There great. Rock solid. Stick out just right. I adjusted them once 5 years ago. I just slip them on alternating between the mirror and the straps. True. I don't even have to redo the straps. When not needed, Off they come and I got my nice looking close stock mirrors. I agree. there pretty much junk but not mine. I went and looked at mine and there is no name of any kind on them or I'd tell you to take a look. All I recall is buying them on line. I do recall the add said pretty much what I just told you and it was absolute truth.

So many problems .... So little time

Yeah, the strap type work well for me too, and don't rattle like the clamp on type can. Even the premium ones like you are looking for are only going to stick out so far on a Dak compared to the width of many campers; you'll never see what's behind your camper unless you use a camera. Even with a full width truck with tow mirrors you don't see much more; just what's next to your trailer to make a lane change. The strap ons are good enough for that.

Lead, follow, or get out of the way

Yeah I have the strap on ones as well. They don't stick out very far but do make a night and day difference. They use the rubber type of straps with plastic that hooks on the mirror rim. They seemed to stay put.

A camera is my next move for me. My in dash 7" computer monitor also has two standard composite video inputs I don't even use. I bought a $20 color camera from Fry's but never installed it. I first need to install the 30' of wiring to it and haven't bothered. But that would best to see what was right behind you.
