Subject: Where is the AC drain hose?

Message:
Can someone show me a picture of where the AC drain hose is? Or can you please explain where to look for it.

I am installing a new stereo but I discovered lake dakota in the passenger side. Gotta get this fixed. I am going to pull out the dash, seats, center console, and the carpet.

I didn't think the problem was the ac drain until my dad pointed out that the ac turns on when I use the defroster.

Passenger side firewall (in the engine compartment) toward toward the bottom.

If it doesn't fit, you're using the wrong hammer!

And it may not be a "hose"
Mine is just a nub of a pipe.

Its under a metal heat shield on the passenger side firewall behind the first cat. on my 4.7 daks. had to take the wheel well skirt off, two nuts on the shield and there it was. I put a 1/2 inch street elbow (pvc with a hose clamp) and directed it downwards. No problems ever since.

Dodge did finally issue a TSB on this. On my 02, it spent 3-4 days in the shop, and they finally removed the heater core and replaced the drain tube seal between the core and the firewall.

The TSB though says to seal up the tube at the firewall with RTV....
