They are giving the 07' Durango a facelift in order to make room for the awesome v-10 viper engine! Ok, maybe not that though we wish. They are concerned about dropping sales of Durangos so they should have done something like that - they would sell quite a bunch. Actually, they are redesigning the front to make room for a hemi hybrid engine to be , like most hybrids, gas and electric.

If DC really wants to sell more Durangos, then they need a facelift as they are pretty darn ugly right now! I loved the way the previous generation looked, they looked 'tough' and 'aggressive'. Now they look more like a minivan. Good thing they put the Hemi in them, or they probably wouldn't sell hardly any of them! If they put the V10 in them, I could probably ignore the way they look and buy one. I would only see it from the drivers seat, and would probably see large amounts of tire smoke in the rear view mirror! Just my .02 cents.

Hybrid engines are not what they should be. At best, you'de see 5-7 mpg extra. At best. Look at the hybrid Durango. For $8-10K, it's not worth it, IMO.

Now, if they would put a decent turbo diesel in there.........

You can talk all you want about putting a Hemi
V8 or V10 in anything BUT I know of two owners
of Hemi's that have already unloaded the gas hogs.

Even the 4 8 versions are eaten fuel like there
is no tomorrow.

You can keep em...

Just my two cents worth guys..

Your right V8s are not for everybody. But if your truly an auto
enthusiast then its worth it. But then again I drive a 4.7 that only
gets 14 mpg and a 375 hp firebird that gets 15. If you dont have
the money to pay for the gas dont buy a gas hog. You know the
mileage is going to be bad when you buy the car then after you
own it, you complain when the mileage is bad. Something must
be wrong with these peoples brains.

Agree. The V8s mileage is what it is.

And it doesn't matter what brand it is. That moron that suggested a Toyota needs to look at the Toyota mileage CAUSE its NOT any better. I've got several friends with Tacomas and Tundras, V6, V8. doesn't matter, they all say their mileage sucks.

I'd like to see any compnay come up with a V8 that gets a solid 25 on the highway (for a TRUCK, not a friggin car). I'd buy one.
