I'm still fighting to reduce my excessive mpg(12mpg-citi,16mpg-hgwy)I was today in the shop.Mechanic did a computer test.No error was found, however he found something.O2 sensor which is at the end of right catalityc converter(muffler side) seems to not work.On LCD computer display ,all four o2 sensors are showed as a frequently moving bars.Only this one doesn't move.Guys in the shop say that this o2 sensor is not responsible for fuel consumption. They say also that probably sensor is OK ,but catalitic converter is clogged. Are they right? What would You suggest to do?

All of the o2 sensors effect fuel mileage. The ones rear of the cat are not nearly as important as the front ones. It is possible that the cat is bad. The signal should still vary.

If the CAT is under warranty and will be replaced for free, listen to the mechanic.
If its not, replace the faulty sensor yourself. Its very easy and you will save yourself $$.
If that doesn't fix the problem, then change the CAT.

How old is the truck? How many miles?

The truck is pretty young .It is 04'12k.
The problem is that my Dak have had serious accident in States.Truck was repaired in USA in lousy way and sold to Europe as undamaged. So,as You can see ,everything is to be expected.

If I was you knowing what you just said, I'd Never have bought it or if you found out after the sale see if you can hold seller liable. That truck can be a death trap. I don't know your laws. check it out

So many problems .... So little time

If you were here, that cat would be replaced free of charge. I would think that is a universal warranty. Check it out.

Hopefully you got a good deal. My truck was in a wreck and fixed the right way. I have no doubts about its safety. But if you have even the slightest concern, dump it fast.
