 Subject: 5.9 oil pressure

I have an 03 R/T 5.9L I am wondering if this is normal of the oil pressure gauge.
Upon start up it rises to just a hair over the mid point in about 6 sec Then it just stays there even when loads on engine are changing.
I ask if this is normal because my OP in my 4.7L
Dakota is always changing as I dive and it seems to rise a little faster. I use Moblel1 5-30 syn. in both

Well Id venture to bet that your 4.7 was no newer than an 01. After 2001 I think they made it so the gauge won't fluctuate anymore. For some reason, I think people were complaining about it or concerned that it flucuated so they just made it so it wouldn't flucuate and would only alert you if it was a serious change.
