Well, I got the supercharger in this week and got it mounted up. I got the auto meter guages also and had those in last week. So far I just have the supercharger mounted in there with the air filter. Im switching over to a FMU setup with a return fuel system and an inline fuel pump. You should do that on your Bro in laws ram Graphite....

Tonight I ordered some 3" aluminum pipe with couplers for the intake tube. I also got a dual bell adjustable BOV. Gonna be a bad a$$ sounding setup. Here are some pics of what I got so far.

After purchasing the supercharger kit and the extra things I need it will be less than 2 grand for everything. That is not too bad considering a polished paxton novi 2000 head unit is over 2 grand alone. And it the best blower money can buy right now..can run up to 27 PSI

Today, I also took my non "reversible" Proform 15" fan (same as flex-a-lite 150) and moved it from the back of the radiator to the front for supercharger clearance. People always told me there wouldnt be enough clearence in a gen II for that fan. Not only did I make it fit behind the radiator but I made it fit in front of it too. All I had to do is take of the bracket for the fan, flip the shroud around, and put some spacers in the bracket so the motor would clear the radiator. I also had to remove the bracket that goes behind the middle of the grill and cut of the piece the connects too it from the grill. There was already like 5 bolt holding that grill on so I didnt think it was neccesary..LOL, 4 zipties later it mounted to the radiator. I love making things fit that arent meant to fit. Such as my paxton supercharger meant for 97-01 dakotas. Makes you wonder who is working for the engineering departments in these companies. Any needed help mounting these fan in a GenII let me know.

ATI procharger - rated for 8-9 psi.
On the dyno I was spot on 7psi @ 4,650
It would be 8psi @5k

I need a new torque converter, but I can get 6 psi on the street.

All those numbers are in the manifold.

The one thing I dont like about the ATI is the intercooler setup for the 4x4. There are way too many bends, and it is very vulnerable.

Once I get my bike on the road, I am going to design a front mount.

So when you gonna get it running?

Maybe we'll get working on the bro's turbo again this weekend now that we found the cause for the loss of boost (as I showed you in the members area).

We also found the bearings were now SHOT in that turbo. So now he was rebuilding that Borg Warner turbo he got from me and it was fairly complicated with all the small c-clips in it. My c-clip pliers were not small enough for them and he borrowed my set of torx bits and broke the T-10 instantly trying to take it apart!

So I don't know if he bought something yesterday to do anymore or not, but I want to test that project board of mine more before I forget how everything hooked up!

BTW. Were you still going to run extra injectors too?

Just waiting for the Fuel parts and intake to come in then I can get it all together. I need to order some fuel lines and hose ends but those will have to wait till I see what fittings came with the FMU and fuel pump. But I can still run it without the fuel upgrade as long as I dont put my foot into it and make boost. I think im gonna run to the hardware today and buy some propane fitting's and hose for some oil lines. Would regular 3/8" hydraulic hose be good enough to run hot oil through?? I need like a 1/4 feed hose and an 3/8" drain hose.

Not sure if Im going to run the extra injectors. But We are still gonna work on a controller. If I dont use it for fuel It can be used for an alky/water injector.

Where did your Bro in law tap for oil lines. Did he come from the oil pressure sendor? If so would you happen to know what size thread that is so I can get the right one with out taking in out right now?

Hi, Mopar318!

The oil pressure sending unit is 1/8" NPT, or "eighth-inch pipe thread".

Hope that helps!

Yeah that does help..Thanks. How do I even get a wrench over it to take it out. I can feel the 6 sided bolt that attaches to the sending unit but I cant get a wrench back there to take it off. Is there a trick to getting to it?

Oh yeah and is the sending unit a male or female thread. I suppose it would be male right?

So your SC needs oil from the engine?
He did use it off of the oil press sensor. It was a biatch to access I heard.
And I'd go bigger than 3/8 for a drain. the turbo guy said one of the biggest problems is not allowing proper drainagage and I figure it would be similar for your SC as well. I think my bro in law used 1/2 or maybe 3/4 hose. You need to have no resistance in the drainage so it don't leak through the seals and use oil, inject it into your engine, etc.

On my car project I'm going with a turbo.

But on my Dak a SC is what I'll end up with so I can keep my exhaust as is and it would be good for towing and all as well.

Have you found good prices on bare bones SuperChargers? There has got to be some better prices than some of these online places rip ppl for.

Just liek the turbo's you see for over a $1k for the turbo only. They sell for $400 or so NEW if you know where to look.

Yep, All of the good superchargers use engine oil. Some cheapy ones like powerdyne dont use oil..they use an internal belt and dont require it. The hose I meant is 3/8 ID. Its pretty big hose.

The cheapest site I have seen that sells just the supercharger head units is www.superchargersonline.com. They have the paxton I have for $1749, but that is a satin, and mine is polished. Your better off just finding a used kit.

I still can't see paying $1700 for a bare bones SC. That is such a rip!

You can buy full 5.0 Mustang SC's all day long with every part to make it work. And NEW.

There has got to be some place that sells the bare bones SC units for a more reasonal price. $1700 is so marked up it isn't funny. There is no way any of those manufactures get close to that from their buyers who resale them.
