Thank you Vern. I got a 94 B150 Dodge van with 318 . One more question please. Any chance the plenum/metal plate was any better on the older modals . Like maybe differant metal or aluminum or maybe less heat to deal with in that area. Thanks again for that answer.

On the 3.9 there is substantial space between the plenum and the plate covering the access to the camshaft.
Enough, I suspect, you could add insulation....

Obio3,hughes engines have a plate that is heavier, don,t no the cost.

but i would,nt think it would be to hard to make one for less $ using the old one as a template

Nope, all the plenum plates were stamped steel. You would think Dodge would realize that making them out of billet would be cheaper and would last longer?

If it doesn't fit, you're using the wrong hammer!

Sorry, didn't realize that you were asking about just aftermarket parts. I knew that the one from Hughes was aluminum, I was just commenting on all stock being steel.

"all the plenum plates" I was talking about STOCK FACTORY

"making them out of billet" I was talking about the AFTERMARKET billet aluminum.
