I recently cleaned TB and replaced IAC on 97, V6MAG,with 152k , now idles at 900 at start, but jumps to 1100 and holds,in warm or cold temps, when in gear idles at 900RPM. I have tested all sensors and they all are getting 5v and resistence is in spec, checked for vacum leaks, none found, cruise control works fine, the only other thing I noticed is that when you let of acc sometimes it takes awhile for RPM to drop, while driving, what else can I or need to check. Do I need to adjust Minimum air flow

The only thing I can think of is to reset the PCM.
Disconnect the neg battery lead.
Turn the key to start and hold it for 30 seconds.

You'll have to give the PCM some time to re-learn, about 200 miles.

zzark, one other question if the battery is disconnected there is no power to ignition switch,so what does turning it and holding it for 30 secs. do? Please tell me that if I do that I won't be asking for more troubles??????

mpl24, by putting the key into "Start" mode and
holding it there, you're discharging any caps
that may still be holding voltage.

Hope that fixes your problem...
