Just curious here as to what some of you guy's think. I bought my 93 Dakota 318, with approx. 153,000 miles on it. Right now it's got about 156,200. Since I've owned it, I've had the tranny rebuilt, a transmission cooler installed, the rear end replaced (it fell out 15 miles after the Tranny rebuild, lol). I just put some brand new aggressive tires on it (Kelly Safari's) and I put an upgraded sound system in it. It has barely any rust (just some lower tailgate rust) and it drives like a Champ. I paid $2,000 for it. Is this something worth investing more in, or could I get a good number for this?

go to kbb.com to see what its worth. From there you can decide if you want to invest or what not. Also depends on how much you like the truck.
Pretty much up to you and your wants cuz your gonna go at a loss most likely depending on how much you invest when you decide to sell.

My 99' R/T books at about $9,900. So you can imagine a 93' will probably sell for $3,000 or so, maybe less. If you're gonna keep it awhile it may be money well spent to put a little more in. You've already rebuilt the tranny and rear end, so you won't have to worry about those going out for awhile anyways. Just remember that for most cars, any money you put in you will most likely not get back out when you sell it - and especially if you trade it in. It makes sense if you plan on keeping it because the $$ you put in will likely be far less than the cost of a new truck. Then you can save money on car payments and have money saved up to buy the new Hemi Challenger. LOL

Worth is always a matter of opinion. If it was not, then no one would put any aftermarket parts on their vehicles because most do not increase value (many reduce resale value). Assuming that you paid cash for your truck and have no debt on it then you need to decide what things you are willing to pay for that you might not get full value back on. Example: If the stereo was bad, and you replaced it with something that works then you have a stereo...is it worth it to you to be able to play CDs or listen to the radio...to me it is, do I think I will recoup the cost of the stereo....not likely...but it is worth it to me.

Try www.edmunds.com Kelly Blue Book values are inflated and do not reflect an actual real world price you would get for the truck

I think the other guys said what you need to know. Trucks and cars are not good investments,if your looking to make money then buy stocks or bonds. How much you put into the truck is your choise. With no paymentbook to deal with every month you can take your time and build the truck of your dreams. Just make sure that this is the truck of your dreams, if your wrong what ever money you do put in it will be lost when you try to get rid of it. I have a 99 4x4 which I'm in love with. It's paid for and I do upgrads when I can afford it. To date I've installed Gibson exaust, tires and wheels, fuel injectors, shift kit.
