Subject: Slave cylinder bleeding

OK After replacing the clutch and pressure plate on my 2003 4.7, I wanted to bleed the cyl to make shure theres no contamination. It has some type of quick connect fitting and no bleed screw. Is this a self bleeding cyl that I've heard of? Or is there some weird procedure. I cant find a Haynes/Chilton for this year and can't shell out $100 for a service manual right now. Thanks
P.S. Is it OK to run a silicone based fluid in the slave, or just stick to regular?

If you never lost any fluid in this system, DO NOT BLEED. This is a bear cat at best. If you feel the need, have it done by someone with the proper equipment to do so. My opinion. Been there and done that.

i was under my '00 QC sunday changing the oil and didn't see any bleed fitting anywhere on the whole system. looks like it's a sealed system.

There is a back yaed way to bleed one of these systems if you really ewant to but I do not recomend it. It's a pain not worth the trouble. I have a resal steep bank on one side of my frive/parking area. I put the rig over the side at an angle making sure it was leaning sharply and all fluids/air could travel up hill. making sure the fluid was toped off I put a piece of plywood against the seat and used a bar to hold the cluch pedal to the floor. I let it sit that way till the next day. Thinks was improved but not yet correct so i repeted it. second day all was well . I really don't recomend this pain unless your totally broke.Oh. This cleans nothing out
