first of all, what makes you think early model 392 hemi heads are available for late 360 motors? Secondly, it's your lucky day. someone is doing retrofits for late hemi heads on modern motors. I'll snoop around for you. in the mean time, you snoop too.

Why is everyone so Hemi nuts anyway?

I had a 392 Hemi many years ago... Even when gas
was 35 cents a gallon, I got tired of feeding
the gas hog for the little bit more power it
made over a Ford 312 at the time.

hey your momma, you asked a generic question. a question you could have researched yourself, and gotten an answer as fast as i did. now, if you had asked if anyone on the board is currently running those hemi heads, and you were curious about the performance of them on their 360 engine, well, we wouldn't be talking now would we!

god helps those who help themselves!

The answer to the question is NO..! The early 331-392 hemi engine and later "A" and "LA" engines are very different in bore centers, and bolt patterns. Even the late 1950's 270-315ci (Plymouth/Dodge) "Poly" head block was slightly different from the Hemi twin. If you want to read engine history try, www.alpar.com.
Rude is a way of covering up, that they just don't know.

Being the right age I once owned a 1956 Ford. If you was lucky enough to come up with a 332 engine (and I did) You had a good mover for the time. Fact is, I never new why it ran so well till I tore it down for rebuild. Bought all the parts for a 312 and it all was correct till I went to put it together. The rings was 2 small. Anyway, as time went on I was told this was actually a highway patrol engine. Why my ford came with it I do not know. What I do know is it wasn't a highway patrol car but it may have been designated to be one and got shipped to the wrong place and I just happened to get it.

So many problems .... So little time
