Diagnostic brake light came on as well as a weird whining or squealing noise located somewhere in the tranny or torque converter.
I own a 1989 V6 4x4 with 190K.
The noise only squeals while vehicle is moving forward... in reverse no noise. Doesn't sound mechnical like grinding or any thing. Does any of this sound fimilar?
Checked fluid and good there. If problem persists I'll take to mechnic. May have to scrap this one if it comes to a new tranny. this would be my second rebuilt. Darn, i liked this truck.
