Subject: door panel removal

I want to repace the four speakers in my 2002 extended cab dakota can some one give me some hints on how to properly remove the door panels. I already have a thunderform with 2 10 inch subwoofers and an nice amp. Also any sugestions one what speakers to use. I keep hearing Infinity perfects but not sure I want to invest $400 for 4 new speakers.

Door panels are real simple now. Screws behind latch. door handle,
and 2 on the bottom of the panel. if you have auto winows and
locks just lift up the panel. Or take the clip off from the back of the
window crank.
After lifting the panel up far enough disconnect the connectors
and metal rod going to the lactch.
I put Alpine 200watt speakers in mine. Didn't replace the tweets.

My stock ones were blown when I bought the truck. Bought in
2004. 02 club cab 9600 miles when I got it.

I have a 98 regular cab and replaced 4 speakers. Stock speakers were extremely poor quality. I put 6-3/4" pioneer 240watt in the door panels, and fosgate 5-1/4" 135watt behind the seats, all for less than $130 with shipping on E-bay. Be careful with the door opening mechanism, it is fragile, I found out the hard way. Maybe things have changed, and your panels are different. Dunno. Best of luck
