I have an 1987 Dodge Dakota 4*4 and am having brake problems. The problem I'm having is a vibration when applying my brakes. I have put new rotors, hubs, brakes, etc... I know this sounds pretty dumb, but the book about the truck only shows the driver side rear brakes being put on. So I don't know if you are supposed to mirror the picture and put on the other side like that, or does the passenger side go exactly like the driver side. I need to know which would be the correct way to put them on and if it could be causing my vibration. Thanks.

To the best of my knowledge they are the same. however you can just lift the back and remove both tires and drums and compare the two. good luck

John, the passenger side is the mirror of the drivers, in other words if the adjuster is on the rear of the drivers then it is in the rear on the pasengers, spring in front on DS then same spring on front of PS, a common mistake is to put the wrong shoe in the wrong position, the correct locations are long in back , short shoe in front, the other way will cause a vibration and drive you nuts! Hope this helps

I was wondering if there are any good rear drum to disc conv. out there. Last I heard the ones out were not that great. Are there any drum to drum conversions that would give me more thicker metal drums, maybe vented? Yes I said vented drums, I heard it was a good way of releasing hot gasses out, however I heard they tend to keep in gravel and mud
