I am installing some lights on my 2003 Dodge Dakota, and I need to run a hot wire to the switch must be hot all the time. Does anyone know where I can run this wire from the switch to pick up the current without causing a problem with other electircal components. Thanks Louie

Direct from the battery.. Make sure you fuse it
at the battery connection.

Suggestion, if you're going to run high powered
lighting and are gonna draw 10 amps or more, I'd
suggest NOT using the switch for the full load.
Use the switch to operate a relay from under the
hood.

Get some help if you don't understand what I just
suggested.. Better to ask someone for help than
to have a electricial fire.

follow his advice because you may need a relay, after all you do not want a fire. what kind of lights are they? Oh and just incase you are still unsure about it or need to know more about relays go to www.the12volt.com its an awesome site

not sure you'll need a relay for those, but check the specs on them to see what the amp draw is on them is. But I would still run a seperate fused wire from the battery like Radio Man said. Its better safe than sorry.
