Super bee I believe did a swap in a gen 1 Dak...did it himself and from what he said in the members only area, he's far from a mechanic. And judging by what I was told, if you can turn a ratchet, you can do a V8 swap.

im not a mechanic no, im mechanicaly inclined yes
with wrenches, basic tools and info from here, from alldatadiy i got it all to work
but i took like everything from the 95 to make it simple
dashboard, wiring, gas tank
the only thing left is axles and master cyl for brakes
wasnt too hard, just time consuming
took me a few months to change everything
1990 sport RC SB, 1995 318drivetrain, 3.92 gears (came with truck) 95 dash/steering wheel, hearthrob exhaust, headers, cutout after y-pipe, necessary electric fan add-a-leafs, 30x9.5 mud tires, cranked T-bars, AR 39 15x8 rims, grill guard, roll bars

what year truck, and what year donor motor
gen1dak did a 360 swap, but he swapped out a 318 out of a shelby for a magnum 360 and carbed it

1997 magnum v6 wanting to upgrade to a 5.9 360 out of a 2003 durango. But any 5.2 or 5.9 magnum would be okay with me...what would be easiest? does it make a difference?
