ANyone have the link to the movie clip of "How to change the Ball Joints in Your Dakota?" The cool one with the rock music in the background?

My 2001 Quad 2-WD is in the shop getting them replaced. It just burns me up that Dodge wouldn't take care of the 2-WD over 100K in miles under the recall. I guess the message is that the lives of the 2-WD owners and passengers aren't quite worth that of the 4-WD owners.

Guess I'll pass on my upgrade to the $47K RAM Mega Cab I wanted to get... They'd just treat me like they did on the warranty defects on my Dakota...

and all the other car manufactures will treat you just the same way. ever read over on the toyota boards about their sludge prone engines. when people brings them in they are told you didnt follow the oil change interval and deny your warranty claim. so see every one does it. its call saving money for them and getting more from you.

I agree with Jedi. Owning a Dakota is making me a pretty good shade-tree mechanic. But at least I know what the problem is (80% of the time) when I hear a rattle or a clunk or whatever. Better the devil you know than one you don't.
Napa Auto Parts loans tools. Some require a heftier deposit than others. They have in their loaner rack a hand-operated press for doing ball joints and universal joints.

The bottom line is; Profit!
There is not one (1) auto/truck maker that gives a
rats ass about you or me. They could care less
if you're driving a unsafe car or truck that was
made by them!

Just look what Ford is doing. Gonna ax 30k workers
by 2012. You really think they care? That's 30k
less people that will buy a Ford product. Great
thinking Ford!

It's all about money guys. Nothing else!
