should stay up after shutdown

Plugs, wires, cap & rotor been changed?

My dad's 95 5.9 had a starting problem, tune-up fixed it right up.

Just a thought...

Leaky fuel injector. I'm not sure if checking the fuel pressure at the rail will tell you much. Isn't there a return line on the rail, which would drop the fuel pressure after shutting the truck off? Maybe I'm wrong. Nonetheless, the question is which one of the injectors is leaking. To find the culprit you'll need to remove the spark plugs and either smell for a strong odor of gas or swab the inside with a long q-tip to find the cylinder(s) that have leaky injectors.
